Hello, my name is Alex! I am a digital artist, beginner animator, and streamer. I hope to be able to stream more often and start tabling at conventions.
Offline, I work fulltime and I am working on an Industrial Design degree.

Terms of Service

USER AGREEMENT

» By commissioning me, you affirm that you have thoroughly reviewed and consented to all the terms outlined in this agreement.
» You hereby pledge to adhere to the policy of employing the commissioned art solely for personal and non-profit purposes, unless explicit exceptions have been established, and to attribute all image credits to me.
» Any transgressions of these terms will result in immediate and indefinite inclusion on my blacklist without prior notice.

GENERAL INFO

» When you purchase my services, you are acquiring access to the digital file of the artwork. No physical items will be provided, and you are prohibited from generating any profit from the artwork (please refer to the Commercial section for further details).
» I retain complete rights to the artwork, allowing me to showcase it on social media and include it in my portfolio.
» You are permitted to repost the image, provided you give proper credit to me, "OkayKelp." You are strictly prohibited from claiming the artwork as your own creation.
» You have the liberty to use the commissioned art as decoration for your personal social media accounts or personal devices.
» Feel free to print the commission or create personal merchandise using it, but these items must be for your personal use only and may not be offered for sale.
» You will receive the full-resolution file through email, Discord, or a Google Drive link.
» Although it is unlikely, I reserve the right to refuse or cancel your commission if I am uncomfortable with the request or if you have demonstrated problematic behavior.

ORDERING AND PAYMENT

» I accept payment in USD. All USD payments can be taken through PayPal, Venmo, VGen, or Etsy. You are more than welcome to reach out to me through social media messaging, but be aware that the response time may differ.
» Visual references and a description are required for a commission to be accepted. If visual references are not supplied, there will be a % fee for character design added to the total cost.
» I prefer to be paid through VGen or Etsy, but will accommodate to PayPal or Venmo with the knowledge that you, the client, would be paying for the transaction fees.
» You are able to visit the queue to see the status of your commission and you are able to request updates often for free.
» If your character is extremely detailed, you will be charged extra. This will be discussed with you before the final charge.
Refund Policy
» If the commission is cancelled (by me or the client) before work has started, then the client will receive a full refund.
» If the client cancels the commission during progress, the amount refunded will be on a case-by-case basis and up to the artist’s discretion. I do have a rough basis for refunds:
» Sketch: 90%
» Line: 50%
» Line and Flat Color: 0%
» No refunds will be given for completed or nearly completed commissions.
» The artist reserves the right to cancel a commission at anytime, for any reason, and without explanation.
» If I cancel the commission due to my inability to complete it at any state, a full refund will be given.

COMMERCIAL INFO

» If you, the Client, intend to commission artwork for Commercial use, the total cost of the commission and any associated royalties will be mutually agreed upon beforehand.
» The minimum price increase will be 100% of the original price, effectively doubling the final amount. However, I retain the right to charge more if I find it necessary.
» Commercial use encompasses the following scenarios: reproducing and selling the artwork, whether publicly or privately, and situations where you derive profit from the use of my artwork on various media or platforms (e.g., social media, personal websites, business cards, etc.).
» When you generate profit through the utilization of my artwork in any medium or as a means to gain attention (such as in YouTube videos, on credit cards, as banners on personal websites, in games, during streams, etc.), it is imperative to provide proper credit to me, "OkayKelp," for the creation of the artwork.

DEADLINES AND SPEED

» You are welcome to request a specific deadline for your commission. The time required to complete a commission can vary, ranging from one week to two months, depending on the complexity of the project and my current workload.
» If you require a deadline of less than one month or need your finished piece expedited as a priority, a rush fee will be applicable. The cost of this fee will depend on how quickly you want the commission to be completed.
» I will make every effort to complete your commission promptly, but please understand that I have a full-time job as well. My intention is never to deceive or inconvenience clients, even if it takes some time to fulfill their order. I typically work when I am most inspired to ensure that your commission is executed with the utmost care and effort.
» I often livestream the commission process on my Twitch channel, providing an opportunity for you to offer feedback and collaborate with me in real-time. This is the most effective way to work together, as I can readily make adjustments to your liking. However, please bear in mind that if your commission falls under the category of NSFW (Not Safe for Work), I won't be able to stream it and will need to work on it privately.

COMMUNICATION

» I value maintaining open communication with my clients and typically provide them with 2-5 Work-in-Progress (WIP) or visual updates throughout the commission process. There is no set limit on the number of update requests, nor is there an additional charge for requesting extra updates. However, if I receive an excessive number of daily update requests that become harassing in nature, I reserve the right to refund a portion of the commission fee based on the progress made.
» The sketch phase is the best time for you to communicate any desired changes, such as alterations to the pose, lighting, or colors. Please don't hesitate to request adjustments during this stage, as I am committed to satisfying my clients and capturing the character's aesthetic and personality as accurately as possible.
» After the commission is completed, I can accommodate minor changes, such as color adjustments and addressing missing details, without an additional charge. However, substantial modifications or the addition of significant sections to the artwork will require an extra fee.
» I will readily make changes to the final piece if it was due to my oversight, such as missing details that you provided in the order form, at no extra cost. However, if the changes you desire were not explicitly clear or obvious when you initially placed the order, additional fees will be necessary.
» It is your responsibility to ensure that your order includes all the necessary details you want me to follow. I will not undertake the task of redrawing commissions unless payment is made for a separate, second order.
